Fenners has nine full-time staff (managers, senior support workers, support workers and housekeeper) and twelve part-time (support workers, administrator, relief support staff) with various qualifications inc: NVQ / QCF level 2,3,5, R.M.A (Registered Manager Award), and one NEBOSH Health & Safety.
Fenners is an equal opportunities employer and maintain staff care training which includes first aid, manual handling, epilepsy, diabetes, infection control, food hygiene, fire extinguishers and safeguarding vulnerable adults. All staff are also trained to carry out reminiscence activities and most staff are trained in dementia care.
Fenners also provides mentored work placements to local students as part of their care qualification at Norwich City College.
Apprenticeships are also available.
Quality Assurance is monitored annually by Friends of Fenners, a small charity associated with Fenners care home, to meet specific service standards as outlined in the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
