Achievements & Activities

Over the last few weeks, as the weather has turned, Residents have been involved in various seasonal activities, such as collecting leaves on autumn walks, Halloween craft activities and pumpkin carving in the house and attending LEAF club’s Halloween Disco.

There have been a few day trips, including to Pleasurewood Hills and a London trip where 3 residents stayed in Greenwich for 2 nights, and enjoyed a day in Kew Gardens. Residents continue to attend weekly classes and workshops at Onward Enterprises, Beyond the Wall and Street Forge Workshop in Thornham. Horse riding has now ceased until Spring, but weekly singing and drumming continue throughout the year.

We have been busy engaging in all sorts of activities in the house including lots of arts and crafts, music and baking.

Thank you to all those who celebrated Fenners 30th Birthday party with us in September. The weather was kind and we were able to enjoy tea and cake and the raffle outside. There were some excellent costumes for the 1980’s fancy dress theme. Many thanks to Margie and friend who helped tidy the garden up in preparation, and to those who helped with raffle and refreshments.

We have two of our popular seasonal events in the diary and people are very welcome to attend the Selected English Roses Handbells performance and ‘Carols and Mince Pies’.

News Update: People and Changes

We welcome Lesley (housekeeper) and Georgia (Apprentice) to Fenners staff team. We would like to wish Yvette all the very best as she starts her maternity leave in December.
